Reading tests
All students complete a Hodder Reading Test to help us understand their reading age and identify any support they may need. The results help teachers and support staff ensure that every student has access to the right level of challenge and intervention to help them succeed.
To take your test, simply click the button for your year group below. This will take you directly to the test website.
Why we assess reading
Regular reading assessment allows us to:
- Identify students who may need additional support
- Track progress over time
- Inform targeted interventions and teaching strategies
- Ensure consistency in literacy support across the school
