MyChildAtSchool (MCAS)

At Dixons Fazakerley Academy, we believe that strong communication between home and school is vital to every child's success. We use MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) as our main communication platform, providing parents and carers with a secure, convenient way to stay informed and engaged in their child's education.

Through MCAS, you can access attendance information, behaviour records, timetables, payments and academy communications, all in one place.

All academy communications are sent via MCAS, so we encourage all parents and carers to sign up and enable notifications.

Downloading the MCAS app

Download the MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) app free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for MyChildAtSchool.

You can also access MCAS online through the MyChildAtSchool website.

Creating your MCAS account

I've received an invitation email. What do I need to do?

When your child joins the academy, we will send an invitation to the email address we hold on record for you.

The email will contain a unique activation link, which is valid for 24 hours. Please check your junk or spam folder if you cannot find it.

If the link expires, or you do not receive the email, you can still create an account using the self-sign-up process below.

I haven't received an email or my link has expired

To create your account:

1. Select Sign Up on the MCAS Parent Login page.
2. Enter the academy postcode L10 1LB or school ID.
3. Select Dixons Fazakerley Academy from the list.
4. Enter the email address registered with the academy.
5. Select Sign Up.

You will then receive an email containing a one-time passcode and instructions to complete your registration.

If your email address is not recognised, please contact the academy office so we can update our records.

I'm receiving an "incorrect email address" message

MCAS will only recognise the email address currently held on our school system.

If your details have changed, please contact the academy office and we will update them for you.

Accessing your account

I've forgotten my password

You can reset your password at any time by selecting Reset Password on the MCAS login page.

I'm still having trouble accessing my account

The MCAS Parent Help Centre contains detailed support guides covering account setup, login issues and password resets.

Information available on MCAS

MCAS gives you access to key information about your child, including:

• Attendance
• Behaviour
• Timetable
• School communications
• Contact information

Parents and carers can also update contact details, helping us ensure that important information reaches families promptly.

MCAS supports multiple languages and can translate school communications, including emails, letters and text messages.

As new features become available, we will share updates through MCAS.

Accounts for more than one child

I have more than one child at the academy

If the same email address is registered for each child, you can access information for all children through a single MCAS account.

Simply select My Child within the app to switch between children.

If one of your children does not appear, please contact the academy office.

I already use MCAS at another school. Can I access information about multiple children using the same parent account?

Yes. If the email address registered with our academy matches the one you already use for MCAS, you can access all linked children through your existing account.

Select My Child to switch between schools and children.
