Year 9 Outward Bound Ullswater Trip
Posted 18th September 2024
These past three days, our students embarked on an unforgettable journey to the Outward Bound Centre at Ullswater, where they engaged in a variety of exhilarating activities, including rock climbing, canoeing, hiking, orienteering, problem-solving challenges, and ghyll scrambling. Each experience was more than just an adventure; it was an opportunity for personal growth and development.
Through these challenges, students demonstrated remarkable determination, integrity, and respect for each other and the environment. They learned to work as a cohesive unit, honing their teamwork and communication skills to overcome obstacles. The beauty of The Lake District surrounded them, fostering a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
Witnessing their resilience and growth was inspiring for all staff. As they navigated obstacles together, they emerged not only as more skilled individuals but also as empathetic leaders. This trip has left a lasting impact on them, reinforcing values that will guide them for years to come.
We are now looking forward to welcoming the second group, which arrives today until Friday.
