Year 7-9 shine in The Tempest at the Coram Shakespeare Schools Festival

With the curtain having just fallen on an outstanding performance, we would like to say a huge congratulations to our incredibly talented Year 7 to Year 9 students who presented a modern adaptation of The Tempest as part of the Coram Shakespeare Schools Festival.

Taking on Shakespeare is no small task - but our students rose to the challenge and truly excelled. Their commitment, creativity and teamwork shone through at every moment of the production, and they represented our school with maturity, enthusiasm and a genuine love for performance.

We’re especially proud of the way the cast worked together throughout the whole process: learning lines, refining scenes, supporting one another and building confidence on stage. The result was a fresh, modern retelling that showcased not only talent, but also resilience and real dedication.

Members of the Coram team praised the cast for their “incredible professionalism both on and off stage”, recognising the focus they brought to the entire process. They also highlighted the students’ “beautiful moments of comedy throughout the performance,” celebrating the skill and confidence with which they brought this adaptation to life.

We are so proud of everything they have achieved. Their hard work, talent and spirit made this production something truly special - well done to everyone involved!
