The Gift of Reading

"Our school's first annual "Gift of Reading" celebration took place today, which involved giving every Year 7 and Year 8 student a free reading book. Our aim is to encourage a love of reading amongst young people, and to provide them with access to diverse and engaging literature.

The books selected for this year's program were carefully chosen by BookTrust to appeal to a wide range of interests and reading levels! On offer were 16 new young adult titles ranging from non-fiction reads for curious minds to fast-paced page-turners, making sure there was something for everyone!

Finally, a massive shoutout to the ultimate book warriors - the student library team! They rolled up their sleeves to organise and pack nearly 400 books for today’s celebration! Thank you for your hard work and determination."
