Real‑world pathways into professional football

70 of our current and aspiring BTEC Sport students were given a valuable opportunity to take part in a live Q&A session with Brentford U18s coach Kieran Driscoll, alongside Joe from LLS Online.

During the session, students gained insight into the realities of working in professional football, with key discussion points focusing on the importance of hard work, capitalising on opportunities, and building strong professional networks. These messages sparked thoughtful discussion and meaningful reflection among students.

We are incredibly fortunate to benefit from our partnership with LLS, which continues to provide high-quality experiences and direct access to industry professionals for our students.

The engagement from our students was outstanding. Many asked deep and well‑considered questions, demonstrating maturity and genuine curiosity. A significant number even chose to stay behind during lunch to personally thank Kieran and Joe with a handshake and to ask further questions — a clear sign of their hunger to learn and progress.

An inspiring session and a brilliant example of how partnership opportunities can make a real impact on student aspiration and motivation.
