National Museums Liverpool visit for Black History Month

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming National Museums Liverpool into school, with a workshop on exploring Transatlantic Slavery delivered to some of our students from two amazing International Slavery Museum representatives.

Our students were outstanding in their approach to this very sensitive topic, demonstrating our values of determination, integrity and respect throughout the entire session.

Students participated in activities and discussions about the middle passage, racism and legacies. Students were also given the opportunity to use craftivism to create artist responses to transatlantic slavery and its legacies, locally and globally.

We are extremely proud of how our students represented our school and our visitors were extremely impressed with their knowledge, respectful natures and mastery of the topics discussed.
