Mixing beats and creativity: DJ workshop Inspires Year 9

On Wednesday this week, two of our Year 9 students had the fantastic opportunity to attend St Julie’s Catholic High School with Mrs Potter for an exciting DJing Workshop. Led by a well-known professional DJ, the session introduced them to the art of mixing tracks, beat matching, and creating seamless transitions. The students were able to experiment with professional-grade equipment and learn the skills that go into DJing

It was an incredible experience that both students thoroughly enjoyed, and they left feeling inspired and confident in their new abilities. To make the day even better, we were gifted two brand-new DJ decks to bring back to school! We can’t wait to start using them in future music lessons and lunchtime clubs, giving more students the chance to explore this creative and modern aspect of music.
