Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS – free support for families

Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS is a statutory Information, Advice and Support Service for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their parents/carers. This service is free, impartial, and delivered by Barnardo’s.

We’ve attached an information sheet from Barnardo’s outlining their service offer for your reference and distribution.

What is SENDIASS?

SENDIASS stands for Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service. The aim of Liverpool & Knowsley SENDIASS is to empower parents, carers, children and young people by providing clear, accurate information and advice. This helps families make informed decisions and take the next steps to advocate independently.

Who can access the service?

If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person aged 0–25 with SEND, Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS is here to help. It’s a FREE service designed to support your family.
