End of term highlights and key dates!

As we approach the final week of term, it’s a joyful end to a busy season! Here are some important dates and events to keep in mind - including a significant milestone for our Year 11 students.

Monday

Dixons northwest athletics competition
We’re proud to host schools from across the region for this exciting event, showcasing our students, staff, and facilities.
Christmas showcase – 5:00pm
Join us for a magical evening celebrating creativity and talent! Enjoy performances in music, drama, and dance — a fantastic start to the festive season.

Wednesday

Year 7 trip to Matilda
A wonderful enrichment opportunity that our students are eagerly anticipating.

Thursday

Year 11 results day
A significant moment for our Year 11 students as they receive their official results. The day will include time for reflection, celebration, and clear target-setting for the next stage of their GCSE journey.

Friday

End of term arrangements
Students will be dismissed by year group from 1:45pm, with all students off site by 2:00pm unless they have an after-school correction. Corrections will run as usual.

A message for Year 11 families

Year 11 has reached the stage where small habits make a big difference. After an intense term, students deserve time to rest and recharge over Christmas — that rest matters!
Alongside this, we encourage light, structured revision during the holiday to ensure students return in January ready to build momentum. The habits they sustain now will shape their summer outcomes.

Save the date

Year 11 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 8 January — an important opportunity to review progress and plan for the final stretch.

Community support

A heartfelt thank you to Miss Simms for her incredible work supporting our most vulnerable families this term. Through partnerships with Cash for Kids, our Christmas Foodbank, and the Staff Toy Drive, she has ensured many students will not miss out this Christmas.
