Children’s Mental Health Week: “This Is My Place”

This week, we have been celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week, an important opportunity to support our students in understanding and talking about their wellbeing.

As part of the national theme, “This Is My Place,” our two Place2Be counsellors joined students at lunch to spark meaningful conversations about belonging, safety and personal identity.

Students were invited to reflect on questions such as:

  • Where do you feel you truly belong?
  • Where do you feel safe?
  • What places help you feel calm, happy, or connected?

It was wonderful to see our students engaging so openly, and to hear the thoughtful, heartfelt places they associate with comfort and belonging. Activities like this help us continue building a school environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued.
