A strong start to the summer term
Posted 21st April 2026
We’ve started the new term positively, with students returning settled and ready to learn. There is a calm, purposeful atmosphere across our academy as we move into an important part of the year.
Year 11: focus and consistency
Year 11 students are back with a clear sense of purpose following their recent results. This term is all about consistency, strong attendance, focused learning in lessons and regular revision.
We will continue to support students closely, but this is the stage where individual effort makes the difference. Getting the basics right every day will put students in the best position for the summer ahead.
Developing student leadership
Students took part in a workshop with Humanutopia, stepping into leadership roles and developing confidence, responsibility and positive relationships with their peers.
Elite pathways in sport
Our BTEC Sport students joined a live Q&A with Brentford U18s Coach, Kieran Driscoll. The session gave valuable insight into the standards, mindset and commitment required to succeed in elite sport.
Futsal in action
Over 40 students from Years 8 and 9 took part in an after-school futsal event. It was competitive, energetic and played in a fantastic spirit.
Global connections in MFL
Year 9 students represented the academy brilliantly in our first virtual exchange with a partner school in Brazil. They showed confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm in learning about another culture.
Easter HAF programme supports transition
Our Easter HAF programme brought together Year 6 and Year 7 students ahead of transition. Through a wide range of activities, students built confidence, developed new skills and began forming positive relationships.

Principal’s reflection
This term is about maintaining momentum and getting the basics right every day. Strong relationships, between staff and students, and between school and home, are key to success.
Over the Easter break, staff gave up their time to support Year 11 through additional revision sessions. This commitment reflects how seriously we take our responsibility to support every student.
For Year 11, small, consistent habits will now make the difference: attending every day, staying focused in lessons and revising regularly at home.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
