A very warm welcome to all future Year 7 students at Dixons Fazakerley Academy!

Here at Dixons Fazakerley Academy, we understand that your move to secondary school is a big step. Right now, you are probably feeling a mixture of both nerves and excitement about starting at the academy, but please be reassured that you are not the only one. Every other person in your year group will be feeling exactly the same way – trust us!

The best advice we can give you is to get involved in academy life right away. The more time you spend at Dixons Fazakerley Academy, the more confident you will feel when it is time to make the move.

Support for families:

Free school meals

If your child may be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Eligibility is based on certain benefits and circumstances. Even if your child receives a free meal through a universal scheme at primary school, a new application may be required.

School transport and bus passes

If your child travels to school by bus, you may be eligible for support with transport costs depending on your circumstances and the distance from home to school.
