Year 10 students lead lunchtime listening campaigns

Over the past two weeks, a number of our Year 10 students have taken the lead in running lunchtime listening campaigns, designed to encourage open dialogue and gather student perspectives on issues that matter to them.

The first campaign explored students’ understanding of misinformation and AI, sparking thoughtful discussions about how we recognise reliable information and the challenges young people face online.

The second focused on students’ experiences with local bus services. Pupils shared both the difficulties they encounter and the changes they would like to see to improve reliability, safety, and access.

Listening campaigns are a powerful way to start meaningful conversations. They give young people a genuine voice, help build trust, and create opportunities for honest discussion about real issues affecting their daily lives. By raising awareness and encouraging participation, these campaigns help ensure students feel heard and valued—leading to more informed decisions and stronger engagement across our school community.
