Rowing trip: building teamwork on dry land
Our pupils continued their training today with the All Aboard Youth Rowing Initiative, and what a fantastic session it was!
The focus of the morning was learning how to row in time, following the leader’s rhythm to keep the strokes smooth and controlled. Students worked hard to match each other’s pace, discovering how important communication and coordination are when moving together on the water.
As the session developed, they began practising the skills needed to row in boats as a team. This introduced a whole new level of cooperation, requiring every pupil to listen carefully, watch closely, and support one another.
Today wasn’t just about rowing technique - it was all about teamwork, perseverance, and learning to trust the group. We were incredibly proud to see pupils encouraging their peers, staying focused, and celebrating each other’s progress.
A brilliant day of working together and growing in confidence - well done, everyone!
