Year 9 options evening – Thursday 5 February, 4–6pm
We are delighted to invite all Year 9 students and their parents or carers to our Year 9 options evening, taking place on Thursday 5 February from 4pm to 6pm in school.
This important event marks a key stage in your child’s educational journey. As students begin to look ahead to Key Stage 4, it is vital that they make well‑informed decisions about the subjects they wish to study. Choosing the right options now will help ensure your child follows a pathway that reflects their interests, builds on their strengths, and supports their future goals.
What to Expect
Throughout the evening, families will have the opportunity to:
- Attend a short presentation explaining the options process, key dates, and how decisions will be finalised.
- Meet with subject leaders to learn more about the courses available at Key Stage 4.
- Explore course content, expectations, and assessment methods for each qualification.
- Ask questions to help guide your child towards the most suitable and fulfilling subject choices.
Our aim is to provide you with all the information you need to feel confident and supported during this decision-making process.
Who Should Attend?
We strongly encourage all Year 9 students to attend with a parent or carer. These choices will play a significant role in shaping their next steps both in school and beyond, and shared conversations at this stage are hugely valuable.
