European day of Languages
Posted 27th September 2024
On Thursday 26th September we celebrated European day of languages. It was set up by the Council of Europe and the European Commission in 2001 to celebrate the diversity of languages across Europe. It is celebrated each year on 26th September. Our students told us what speaking and learning another language means to them and why they believe learning another language is so important. We had some fantastic responses! Teachers also got involved by greeting pupils at the door in one of the many European languages encountered.
