Joseph Ollerton

Vice Principal

Joe completed his PGCE in 2003 at St. Martin’s College in Lancaster and joined Weaverham High School in Cheshire as a teacher of History in September of that year. During ten years at Weaverham, Joe undertook a number of roles including Lead Learner, Head of History, Head of Citizenship and Gifted and Talented Lead. Joe led the History department to consistently outstanding results and played a central role in the school achieving consecutive Good Ofsted judgments.

In 2014, Joe joined the Senior Leadership team at North Liverpool Academy where he helped the academy achieve an improved Ofsted rating of Good in 2016 alongside significantly improved GCSE results. Joe was the strategic lead for Teaching and Learning and the operational lead for all aspects of the academy.

At Dixons Fazakerley Academy, Joe continues to demonstrate a passion for providing the best educational opportunities for all students. He has been the strategic lead for our instructional and cultural routines, Morning Meeting, staff CPD and our Careers programme. Joe is currently the strategic lead for Behaviour and Attitudes.

Joe enjoys playing the piano and has performed at numerous concerts across the UK and in Italy. He also enjoys going to watch LFC at Anfield with his dad.
