Dixons Fazakerley Academy

Chris Wilson

Principal

Chris began his teaching career in 2009 as a Teacher of History and joined Outwood Grange Acaemies Trust in his third year of teaching. Chris was a part of the leadership team that helped Outwood Grange Academy secure outstanding judgements in all areas of the 2012 Ofsted inspection. Chris worked across a range of settings and undertook a number of roles during his time with Outwood including Assistant Director of the teaching school, Director of Sixth Form and Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning.

In 2019 Chris relocated from his hometown of Wakefield to Liverpool and, in line with his previous roles, undertook his first Headship in a school within an area of high deprivation in north Liverpool. Chris is committed to equipping children with an effective education that gives them the quality and range of life chances they deserve and was delighted to join Dixons Academies Trust in April 2021 as they brought that same mission to Liverpool and the North West.

Chris is proud to be making a difference where it matters the most and Dixons Fazakerley Academy is based upon the principle that every child will climb the mountain to university, or a real alternative, thrive in a rewarding career and enjoy a happy and purposeful life.
