Ben Ashcroft
Assistant Principal
Ben joined Dixons Academies Trust in 2015 after completing the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. He joined Dixons McMillan as its first teacher of history and contributed to its outstanding judgement in all areas in 2017. Serving as a Head of Year and Head of Humanities, he learnt how a compelling culture and exacting curriculum can truly make a difference to the lives of young people.
In January 2021 Ben supported the Trust’s expansion outside West Yorkshire by serving at Dixons Fazakerley Academy, the founding member of the North West hub. He works to ensure that a first-class education is the right of every child, regardless of background or circumstance.
A graduate of the universities of Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and King’s College London, Ben is absolutely committed to helping students climb the mountain to university, thrive in a rewarding career and lead a happy and purposeful life.
