Year 9 Options 2024
At this time of the academic year, students make choices about the options they would like to study at GCSE. At Dixons Fazakerley Academy, we place a high value on an academic EBacc curriculum and, as such, all students will study English Language, English Literature, maths, combined science, a modern foreign language and a humanities subject (geography or history). All students will also follow a GCSE Short Course in Religious Studies. We feel that this combination of subjects will prepare all of our students for a successful future and put them on level terms with the best in the country.
Please see the presentations below and read through the options booklet at the bottom of the page in order to make the best decision of what subjects to choose for GCSE. You can choose 2 options to complement the compulsory subjects listed above. You will also need to pick a reserve subject.
